Marie M. Johnson, 70, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on Sept. 7, 1941 to the late Edouard and Aldea Poisson.

Before becoming a homemaker, Mrs. Johnson was floor supervisor for National-Semiconductor in Santa Clara. After they moved to Escalon in 1984, she worked alongside her husband Tom tending to their almond orchards. She enjoyed visiting the local casinos and a good game of golf. She was proud of her grandchildren, never missing any of their activities and always cheering them on to victory.

She was passionate about her family, taking great pride in what she loved best which was caring for them. She will be remembered as a devout wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her loving husband and best friend Darrell "Tom" Johnson; children, Debbie Johnson-Talamantes and her husband David, and Robert Johnson and his wife Karen of Escalon. She was blessed with four grandchildren; Darnelle and Jesse Talamantes, Thomas Johnson and preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Nicole Johnson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Deegan Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 25 at 1 p.m.
