Lucille Parker Degerman passed away peacefully in Modesto on September 7, 2016 at the age of 97. Lucille was born on November 12, 1918 in Delmar, Iowa to Alex and Viola Cardenas. She had been a resident of Escalon for over 60 years before moving to Modesto for the past eight years. Lucille was an active member of Trinity Church in Escalon where she taught Sunday School to the 3- and 4-year-olds. She was a strong woman of faith who put her family first.
Lucille leaves behind her son, Robert E. Parker (Carolyn) of Modesto, her grandsons, Bruce Parker (Kelli) and Steven Parker along with her great grandson, Joshua Parker. Lucille also leaves behind her brother, Albert Cardenas. Lucille is preceded in death by her first husband, Earl J. Parker and her second husband, Harry Degerman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 at 11 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. Donations in Lucille’s name may be made to Community Hospice.
