Louise Hayes, 83, passed away on Monday, Feb. 23 at Bethany Home in Ripon.
Born on Jan. 4, 1926, she lived in the Modesto, Escalon area for the past 71 years. She was a homemaker and farm wife who enjoyed cooking, entertaining and traveling. She was a member of Escalon Christian Reformed Church, Bible Study Fellowship in Modesto as well as the Ladies Coffee Break in Escalon.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray Hayes; her children, Jerry Hayes of Santa Barbara, Virginia Hayes of Santa Barbara, Lynda and Russ Hersman of Orlando, Florida, and Allen and Luann Hayes of Escalon; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 27 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Memorial service was Saturday, Feb. 28 at Escalon Christian Reformed Church. Private burial at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
