Linda Lavonne Vest passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 8, 2018 in Hughson, California. Linda was born on November 13, 1939 to Russell and Lillian Potter in Escalon where she has been a lifelong resident.
Linda loved helping people. She volunteered for over 20 years for Hospice and was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Escalon. She loved to travel and read but above all else, she loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, watching their sporting events and cheering them on from the stands. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed.
Linda leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Don Vest, her children, Jennifer Bartelink (Henry), Jeff Vest (Kristie), Cindy Craig (Ron), Wayne Vest (Oriel), Michael Vest (Meghan) and Carlee Vest, along with nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Linda also leaves behind her sister, Glenda Ihrig as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th at Burwood Cemetery on River Road at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at United Methodist Church in Escalon at 11 a.m.
