Larry Jim LeGrand, 67, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Montgomery, Texas due to complications of MS.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Walters, OK and moved with his family to Chandler, AZ in 1961.

He graduated from Arizona State in 1965 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He went to work with the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service after graduation and served as a Revenue Agent (Arizona and California), Lead Instructor (CA), Assistant Chief of Exam (Dallas, TX), Chief of Exam (St. Louis, MO) and Revenue Service Representative, International, in Bonn, Germany and Rome, Italy. He retired from IRS in April of 2000 to Escalon, CA; then returned overseas to work on Economic Reform with BearningPoint/KPMG. He served in Kosovo, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Serbia, returning home to Escalon in 2006.

Married in 1965, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Louise; son, Larry Scott and wife, Stephanie (Duarte, CA); parents, Bernard and Mary Beth Edgemon (Chandler, AZ); and, sister, Susan Rugland (Chandler, AZ).

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Michael Calvin LeGrand.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m., Grace Lutheran Church, 13123 Highway 105 West, Conroe, Texas, and Saron Lutheran Church, 1742 North St., Escalon, on Saturday, July 28 at 11 a.m.
