Josephine Lelieur, 92, died on Friday, May 13 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

She was born on April 18, 1919 in Oakdale. She was one of four girls and four boys of Lorenzo and Zaire Cordoni. On Oct. 22, 1940 she married the love of her life, George Lelieur; they had 68 wonderful years together.

She was a farmers daughter and wife all of her life, helping on the farm and raising two sons. Later in life she loved to travel, visiting Italy, Hawaii, and went on several Caribbean cruises. She loved the outdoors and had a deep passion for flowers, hummingbirds, and nature in general.

Survivors include her sister, Annie Haydeen; son Gerald; three grandsons; several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son Michael, and her husband George.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road in Escalon.
