76, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Oakdale, CA.
Jimmie was born Feb. 24, 1939 in Dell, AK.  He was one of five children born to John and Trula Goforth.
Jimmie attended Oakdale High School from 1954-1955.  In 1957, he graduated Berkeley High School and later graduated from MJC.  In 1959 he worked for Cutter Laboratories in Berkeley, CA.  1962-1964. J.D. was a Police Officer for the city of San Pablo.  1964-1966 he was Police Officer for the city of Ceres. 1966-1993 he was a Deputy for the Stanislaus County Sheriff Department, later becoming a Detective, and before retiring, a Baliff.  J.D. loved law enforcement and interacting with people.
Jimmie Dale was a resident of Riverbank, Ceres and Modesto.  He spent the last 22 years in Oakdale, married to Ann Goforth. In retirement, Jimmie enjoyed matching wits with the locals at the coffee shop, Crossword puzzles, and spoiling his Animal Shelter Rescue pets, Dandy, Pierre and Fonzie.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his sister, Cally “Jean” Wescot, and his parents, John and Trula Goforth.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Goforth;  son, Jimmie Dale Goforth Jr.;  stepson, John Bambacigno Jr. (Kelly);  sister, Margie Huddleston;  brother, John Robert Goforth;  brother, Donnie Goforth (Dottie);  niece, Kathy Huddleston;  nephew, Tim Wescot (Anne).
A memorial was held at River Oak Grace Community Church (7712 Rodden Rd, Oakdale, CA) at 11am on Monday, March 30, 2015.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River Oak Grace Community Church, or Community Hospice (4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356).
