Jeff was a lifelong resident of Escalon, CA. He graduated from Escalon High School with the Class of 1988. Jeff was the last son of four boys, born on December 22, 1969.
Jeff is survived by: Parents, James and Irma Johnson; Brothers, Jim (Sandra) Johnson, Mike (Chris) Johnson, Eric (Linda) Johnson; Nephews, Jared (Shae) Johnson, Justin (Jessica) Johnson, George (Lindsay) Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Rory (Megan) Johnson.
Jeff was preceded in death by his niece Bryana Johnson.
A unique and gentle soul, he spent his last years at home with his mother and father, providing loving care and assistance to them both. He provided especially loving care to his dad who has Alzheimer’s disease. It was something Jeff did with great enthusiasm and pride. He loved his two dogs Molly and Dude and was “dad” to them as well. Jeff enjoyed gardening and used all of the produce from it. From canning peppers and salsa, to crafting new culinary delights, it was rewarding to him and he willingly shared them with everyone. Jeff possessed a gentle soul with a kind heart that had a deep compassion for nature, beautiful places and creatures of all types. Much of this was captured for all of us to share through his love of photography. He left us many beautiful images that will be loved and cherished by his family and friends for a lifetime.
He enjoyed many other hobbies as well, including physical fitness, furniture making and was even known for making unique and beautiful quilts, made from old jeans.
Our son, our brother, our friend was loved by us all and will be in our hearts forever.
The final memorial to Jeff will be held at Deegan’s Funeral Chapel in Escalon, CA on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 12:00 p.m. A viewing was held Tuesday, October 13 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
