Charles "Chuck" Lester Ault, 66, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 12.

Born on May 1, 1941, Chuck was a resident of Oakdale for the past 8 years where he enjoyed farm work and raising his cattle, and previously lived in Hayward for 23 years where he worked for Alameda Refrigeration. He enjoyed deer hunting and restoring old cars with his friends and grandsons.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Ault; children, Steve Verstegen of Florida, Dennis C. Ault of Manteca and Carrie M. Bohner of Tracy; grandsons Justin J. Bohner of Tracy, Jayson P. Bohner of Tracy, Avery Verstegen of Florida and Daniel C. Ault of Manteca; and his sister, Charlene Torres of Tracy.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill Ernest Ault in 2002 and Dennis Wilbur Ault in 1968.

Services were Friday, Feb. 15 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon; burial followed at Valley Home Memorial Park.
