Bob Pearce, 79, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 in Escalon.

He was born on June 11, 1932 in Texas.

Mr. Pearce spent the last 20 years in Escalon with his wife Laverne. He loved pitching horseshoes. He traveled with his wife for six years by RV competing in horse-shoe competitions, especially in Yosemite. He enjoyed crafting wood and making all sorts of hand-crafted projects like chairs, tables, and boxes. When he was younger, he was very active and loved to fish and hunt. He will be forever missed and always remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Laverne Pearce; children Clifford and his wife Donna, Patricia and her husband Henry, and Virgil and his wife Judy; one brother, Kenneth and his wife Sharon; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Glenn Pearce.

Deegan Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road in Escalon.
