Win Big With Bike Month Bingo And Dibs This May
DIBS

Bike Month is back and with a twist. To celebrate the health and ecofriendly benefits of biking and encourage a sense of community despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Dibs is presenting its first-ever Bike Month Bingo.

Dibs promotes Bike Month each year in San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced counties to highlight the benefits of cycling and walking instead of driving. Biking and walking are exercises that make a person healthier and help to improve air quality by reducing vehicle emissions.

Dibs is a program established by the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) and serves San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced counties. Dibs promotes smart travel options such as carpool, vanpool, transit and biking as an alternative to driving alone to help improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion. The Dibs program provides trip planning tools, incentives and outreach services to employers, jurisdictions and community organizations across the three counties.

For more information, visit dibsmyway.com/ or contact 209-235-0600.

May is National Bike to Work Month and each year Dibs partners with member agencies and local organizations to promote and celebrate biking. Dibs encourages commuters to consider travel options and celebrates small steps to include biking and walking anywhere – to the store, mailbox, coffee shop or around the block.

Residents of San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced counties can walk, bike and bingo to win more than $1,000 in prizes. Participants can use the Bike Month Bingo card as a guide and inspiration for biking and walking. Each square has a prompt to get a person moving — a simple coffee run, a 3-mile trek, or biking or walking with a friend or pet.

Three $25 food delivery gift cards per county will be given away for a standard five-in-a-row bingo. The ambitious cyclists or walkers completing the entire card — aka a “Blackout Bingo” — will also earn an entry to win $100 toward prepared meal kits from Gobble (one per county).

In addition, Dibs is offering an “Early Bird Special” for the first time. The first five people in each county to log a biking or walking trip will receive a $5 virtual Starbucks gift card. Find more information at Bike Month – Dibs (dibsmyway.com).

Participants must register on dibstrips.com. They can log their biking or walking trips throughout May and email maynard@sjcog.org a completed Bike Month Bingo card to win prizes. Trips can be logged via dibstrips.com or through the Commute Tracker by RideAmigos app.

Residents of San Joaquin, Stanislaus or Merced counties who are 18 or older are eligible to win.
