Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) - who represents Escalon, Farmington and Collegeville in Congress - is hosting a telephone town hall focusing on health care reform today, Wednesday, Aug. 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This is the sixth telephone town hall Rep. McNerney has held this year and the second focusing on health care reform. McNerney's first telephone town hall on health care attracted almost 5,000 participants.

These telephone town halls are also a continuation of the health care listening tour that the Congressman launched in July in order to hear the thoughts and concerns of his constituents. Over the past month, he has also hosted roundtable discussions with families, seniors, doctors, and small business owners and toured health care facilities in cities across the 11th Congressional District.

This evening, residents throughout the 11th District will be contacted by phone and, if they choose to participate, will join an hour-long telephone town hall meeting during which they will be able to ask questions of, and listen to, Rep. McNerney.

Residents of the 11th Congressional District can also contact one of McNerney's offices to sign up in advance for the telephone town hall. The Stockton office can be reached at 209-476-8552 and the Pleasanton office at 925-737-0727.
