Business Forecast

Regional bank runs, gradually rising unemployment rates and low demand for mortgages signal a significant slowing in the Central Valley’s overall economic activity according to the biannual San Joaquin Valley Business Forecast produced by Gokce Soydemir, the Foster Farms endowed professor of business economics at Stanislaus State.

Exceptional Achievement

Five Stanislaus State faculty were honored as the 2023 recipients of the Outstanding Faculty Awards and the Elizabeth Anne B. Papageorge Award for Faculty Development. The honorees, along with retiring faculty members and those who reached 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service milestones, were recognized during a reception on May 10.

Commencement Ceremonies

Stanislaus State will celebrate the Class of 2023 during the University’s Commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 25 (ceremonies at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.) and Friday, May 26 (ceremony at 8 a.m.). The ceremonies will recognize students graduating in the fall 2022, spring 2023 and summer 2023 terms.
