SATURDAY SUPPER

There was a steady stream of diners on Saturday evening, March 30 at the Escalon United Methodist Church for its annual ‘made to order’ omelet dinner, with an assembly-line style service featured. Attendees chose the fillings for their omelet, which was then cooked in front of them – among the chefs was Mary Panero, working double pans – and then topped off the meal with fruit, biscuits, potatoes and beverages. Among those on hand was Paul Matson of Glencoe, who drove roughly 90 minutes to enjoy the food and support the church fundraiser.
