The line of cooks at the Escalon United Methodist Church on Saturday evening, March 23 included, from left, Steve Castellanos, Mary Panero and Audrey Castellanos, manning the frying pans to grill up the fillings and prepare the fresh, made-to-order omelets for the fundraising dinner. Along with a variety of fillings for the omelets, the meal included fruit, grilled potatoes and warm biscuits. An added bonus was the availability of homemade jams and jellies to spread on the biscuits. Coffee, juice and water was served as well. A steady stream of diners made their way into the church during the event, which ran from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
