San Joaquin Parks Offer Variety Of Family Events

The first two Saturdays in April will feature family friendly events at both the Oak Grove Regional Park and Micke Grove Regional Park.

On Saturday, April 6 Oak Grove Nature Center will introduce a new Arthropod display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Regional Park. Come see tarantulas, roaches and others, plus crafts, petting zoo and more. Event is free, just pay a $6 parking fee. Oak Grove is at 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton.

An Easter Egg Hunt is on the schedule for Saturday, April 13 at Micke Grove Regional Park. Get your baskets ready for the hunt, offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be egg hunts for kids 10 and under, plus prizes, crafts, music, bounce houses, food trucks and more. Micke Grove is at 11793 N. Micke Grove Road, Lodi.

Later that same day, on April 13, enjoy the next Astronomy in the Park beginning at sunset at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton. Indoor activities begin inside the Nature Center at 7 p.m., followed by telescope viewing outside. Event is free with a $6 parking fee.
