Members of a running club at the Collegeville Elementary School Expanded Learning Program, After School Program enjoyed taking part in the recent annual Color Run in Escalon. The students run several days a week at the school, use pedometers, and chart and graph their progress. The pedometers along with shirts, water bottles, and educational materials were paid for out of a county grant. All of the running club and staff members who wanted to sign up had their registration paid for through this grant as well. Collegeville registered 33 students and three staff members for the Escalon Educational Foundation Fun Color Run.
