School will soon be back in session and Escalon High School will feature two new State-of-the-Art career training spaces to start the 2026-27 school year.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the renovation project on campus, and the training spaces include a new Food Science Lab and a new Emergency Medical Response Classroom.

The ribbon cutting ceremony – which will be followed by tours of the new facilities – is open to community members, Escalon Unified School District employees and staff, business and industry partners, families and students, and supporters of career education.

The food science and emergency medical response courses offer dual enrollment college credits and are part of the district’s CTE, Career Technical Education, department.

Tours will be given on a first come, first served basis. Those attending the July 29 ceremony will also have an opportunity to meet the instructors, learn about career pathways and experience some hands-on learning for themselves.

District Superintendent Ricardo Chavez extended an invitation to all in the community to join in the celebration.

Officials noted that “This innovative new learning space will provide students with hands-on opportunities to explore food science, nutrition, culinary innovation, emergency medical response while preparing for high-demand careers through real-world, career focused learning.”

Tours will begin after the ribbon cutting, with the event scheduled to run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
