The Trout Bout, San Joaquin County’s annual trout tournament scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, has been cancelled due to ongoing drought conditions.

This annual event, open to all in the area, is traditionally held at Oak Grove Regional Park.

“Oak Grove Lake is approximately 1.5 feet down, and as such, we do not believe the conditions will allow for a good fishing experience for our anglers,” said Duncan Jones, Parks Administrator.
