Named recently as the Students of the Month at El Portal Middle School, honorees included one sixth grader and two seventh grade students. Madison Smith, Caleb Cavanaugh and Clare McPherrin were the January selections. The recognition program is sponsored by the Escalon Kiwanis Club, highlighting the academic, athletic and citizenship achievements of students.
