Escalon Chamber of Commerce is hosting its next ‘Sunday in the Park’ on June 22, running from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. at the park on Main Street.

This special event will include plenty of activities for all and organizers said they really want people to come out to share the day. The festivities are scheduled to include an antique car show, rides in a ‘London taxi’ and live music. There will also be free hot dogs and face painting, games, local vendors and more.

The Chamber, in cooperation with local businesses, has been hosting the Sunday in the Park series for the past few months, each time with a new theme and activities. The goal, said officials, is to bring families together downtown to enjoy some time in the park and see what the local merchants have to offer. Activities for the kids are also part of the package, giving them fun projects to enjoy and take home.

The ‘London taxi’ rides will be offered free, a unique way to ride around the community.
