Diners were happy to stay in their cars and have dinner delivered to them at the drive-thru Tri Tip Dinner hosted by Nuts for Life and Team Saron to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Escalon. The Saturday afternoon drive-thru was staged at Saron Lutheran Church on North Street and organizers said 160 dinners were sold, with each meal feeding four people. Special thanks went to Mar-Val Main Street Market, Cost Less Foods of Oakdale, Pre-Peeled Products, Inc., Saron Lutheran Church, Big Boy Market, Jackie Sappenfield and Escalon Sportsman’s Club for contributions. Team members also issued a “big thanks” to diners for supporting the fundraiser. Here, Robert Bomer and Evette Quiroz brave the raindrops to make a ‘drive-thru’ delivery.
