Relay For Life Hosts October Open House
Relay Graphic

Escalon’s Relay For Life is still several months away – not due until late April, 2018 – but an Open House for those interested in the event to get more information is coming up later this month.

Cancer won’t stop without your help – so you are invited to join the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer.

An Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pizza Plus, 1900 McHenry Ave., Escalon. You can sign up there to start a fundraising team, sign up as a cancer survivor or get information about joining the planning committee to help put on the annual 24-hour Relay For Life.

Escalon’s Relay is staged on the football field on the campus of Escalon High School and has remained a 24-hour event. Teams come from churches, schools, families, the community, 4-H groups, service clubs and the like, all raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.

For more information, contact ACS Community Development Manager Dena Pimentel at 209-996-3665 or visit Dena.pimentel@cancer.org.

The 2018 Relay For Life of Escalon is on the schedule for Saturday, April 28 at 9 a.m. until Sunday, April 29 at 9 a.m.
