The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

About 190 students from 19 schools across the county are slated to participate; the competition will be at the Wentworth Education Center, San Joaquin County Office of Education, 2707 Transworld Drive in Stockton.

The annual San Joaquin County Math Tournament helps schools promote excellence in math, raise student test scores, increase student self-esteem, develop problem-solving skills, and hone cooperative skills in a competitive environment. The tournament for fourth- through sixth-grade students was held on April 1. The SJCOE Mathematics Department hosts the County Math Tournament.
