Escalon Rocks Schedules Rock Painting Event

With the #kindnessmatters, the Kindness Rocks project is hosting a special rock painting event on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Escalon Community Center.

There will be rock painting, raffle drawings and prizes, drinks, snacks, music and fun for the whole family.

All rocks will be provided – you can bring your own supplies to paint but they will also have supplies on site. There will also be Escalon Rocks shirts available for sale.

The Kindness Rocks project was originally created to “spread inspiration and a moment of kindness for unsuspecting recipients through random inspirational rocks” dropped at various locations around the community, according to event organizers.

“Each of us can make a positive difference,” note administrators Tammy Blevins and Jamie Blanchard-Fontes, and it is with this mindset that they are offering the rock painting event, open to all in the community.
