El Portal Middle School will once again be the site for an Easter Egg Hunt for a variety of ages, the Saturday before Easter.

Escalon Kiwanis Club hosts this event on the grounds at the school on First Street, with the hunt set for Saturday, March 26 starting at 10 a.m.

There will be separate areas for different ages, with a site roped off for those up to 2 years old, an area for 2- to 4-year-olds, an area for 5- to 7-year-olds and the final area for the oldest hunters, 8- to 11-year-olds.

Plastic eggs will be scattered around the school grounds and some will contain a prize notification for special Easter baskets. Every participant will get some candy and a gift, with the special prize baskets available for all ages.

“Escalon FFA will try to have a number of baskets to give way,” said Kiwanis Club member Pam Dyer.

The club will also have muffins, juice and coffee available.

The ‘hunt’ takes off promptly at 10 a.m. and is over quickly; don’t be late.
