Normally hosted the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, the December Senior Brown Bag giveaways have been rescheduled for the first and third Tuesdays.

The distribution at the Escalon C.A.R.E. Center, 1601 Second St., Escalon will be hosted on Tuesdays, Dec. 5 and Dec. 19. The Dec. 5 date will be the Veggie Van Brown Bag day. Hours for the Senior Brown Bag program for those 60 and over are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Regular hours for December will include Wednesdays, Dec. 6, 13 and 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the Wednesday supplemental food distribution days. The C.A.R.E. Center will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 20.

The low income government commodities day will be the third Thursday, Dec. 21 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Director Patti Baxter said she and her crew are “happy campers” now that they are settling in to the new location on Second Street and are grateful for the continued support of the Escalon Ministerial Association in helping meet the emergency and supplemental food needs of the less fortunate in the Escalon and Farmington areas.
