Cooperative Extension Sets Gardener Training

The 2017-2018 Green Gardener Training will get underway later this month in Stockton.

Module 1: Healthy Soil, Healthy Landscapes will be offered on three Tuesday evenings, Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the San Joaquin County Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center, 2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton.

Green Gardener Qualification Training can be taken as separate three-week modules, and landscape maintenance professionals who complete all three Green Gardener Qualification modules offered by UC Cooperative Extension will receive their Green Gardeners Qualification certificate. The entire training contains over 20 hours of instruction in landscape maintenance practices.

Covered items include:

• Create and maintain healthier, more beautiful landscapes

• Develop irrigation expertise and conserve water

• Reduce your green waste load

• Reduce the use of pesticides

• Save time and energy

Registration fee is $30 per person/per module which includes a binder with all training materials.
