The annual Escalon Community Thanksgiving Dinner is on the schedule for Thursday, Nov. 23 – Thanksgiving Day – from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The meal, open to all in the community at no charge, is served at the Escalon Community Center. Volunteers are already busy preparing for the event and diners can eat in or take out. There is also home delivery of meals for those that can’t get to the Community Center.

For those that want to eat in, stop by the center at any time during the meal. Doors will open around 11 a.m. for socializing and those attending can come early to visit before eating, The traditional Thanksgiving meal will feature turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, salad ... all the trimmings. There is also pumpkin pie for dessert.

To get a home delivered meal, call DeeAnna Jackson at 209-838-6808 and leave the information about how many meals are needed and the address.

For pick-up orders, also call Jackson and indicate how many meals are needed and what time they will be picked up on Thursday.

The Community Thanksgiving Dinner is put on through the assistance of the Escalon Ministerial Association.
