Pile driving for the east portion of the new bridge structure on McHenry Avenue over the Stanislaus River began Friday, June 30. The McHenry Avenue Corridor Improvements project will enhance safety, inter-regional traffic circulation, and air quality. Construction began in May 2017 and is on schedule to be completed by mid-2020. The majority of the construction work site has been cleared of debris and crews will soon install stone columns into the ground to strengthen loose soil around the new bridge.
