Sunday’s celebration of all things fall staged in Escalon’s Main Street Park drew a sizeable crowd downtown on Oct. 8

Homemade costumes saw several youngsters go home with prizes, and all had the chance to carve and decorate pumpkins, taking them home to display in the weeks leading up to Halloween.

There was music, freshly popped popcorn, face painting, and a display of antique autos decked out with spooky passengers and Halloween-themed decorations. The historic caboose was open for tours and the day, though breezy, featured plenty of sunshine and made for a great Sunday of fun in the park, hosted by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce.
