Saturday, Nov. 6 featured the annual Kris Kringle Market, staged at Saron Lutheran Church on North Street in Escalon. This year, it returned to an in-person event. Here, Carla Van Winkle of Modesto peruses some of the handmade holiday ornaments available. Also featured were jams and jellies, honey, baked goods, handcrafted items, decorative rocks, sun catchers and more. Also, tickets for a 54-by-54 handmade quilt were available for sale. The drawing for the quilt will be Sunday, Nov. 21; tickets can still be purchased by contacting church officials.
