ID Theft Arrest

Police investigating a complaint of identification theft discovered the suspect had multiple IDs in her possession and also was in possession of narcotics.

The suspect, identified by Escalon Police as Krystle Mobley, 27, was arrested in the 1700 block of Carignane and faced felony arraignment on Friday, Feb. 14. At that time, she was remanded back to custody.

According to the police report, Mobley – who was already on Probation – was found to have identifications of at least 10 people in her possession, ranging from Modesto to Morgan Hill to Escalon, and police also found her to be in possession of narcotics-controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia. Charges when she was booked at the San Joaquin County Jail also included unauthorized access to information, unauthorized use of personal access card, possession of 10 or more persons’ identification, possession of counterfeit ID to commit forgery, among others.

Escalon Police received the report of identity theft on Feb. 5 and following the investigation, took Mobley into custody on Feb. 11.
