Players in the ‘Squirt’ division for ages 5 and 6 do battle on Saturday, Aug. 13 for the Opening Day of Escalon Recreation Youth Soccer. There are 752 participants, with games on Saturdays at Hogan-Ennis Park running through Oct. 8. Here, it was the Purple Panthers of C.T. Brayton & Sons, Inc. facing off with the Black Wolves sponsored by Aquatic Discount Scuba. The divisions are: Tot, ages 3 and 4; Squirt, ages 5 and 6, with both those divisions co-ed; along with boys and girls divisions for Pee Wee, 7 and 8; Minor, 9 and 10; Major/Senior, ages 11 and 12.
