Entertainment will be virtually non-stop at Escalon’s Main Street Stage for the Park Fete celebration on July 12 and 13 with musical groups and community performances, such as these youngsters from Powerhouse School of Dance.

Whether you want to listen to some rock ‘n roll or watch a young dancer twirl across the stage, there will be plenty of opportunities to do both at the 2019 Escalon Park Fete celebration.

The annual event, hosted by the Escalon Lions Club and put on in cooperation with local community groups and citizen volunteers, will feature a wide variety of acts on the city’s Main Street Stage. Park Fete kicks off Friday, July 12 and continues on Saturday, July 13.

The Friday entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with The New Past, continuing until 8 p.m., as longtime friends and Escalon High School alum Mike Martin and Aaron Brown bring their pop sensibilities and storytelling to the stage. Headliner on Friday night will be Never 2 Late, scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; they are known as the premier Central Valley country band and focus on top 40 country artists with a few old time classics.

Saturday will be a busy day on the stage. Powerhouse Dance Studio will showcase several different groups and styles of dance for the community to enjoy, opening up the July 13 entertainment schedule at 11:45 a.m. The Escalon Youth Summer Band performs from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed by Elvis impersonator Tony Freitas, on stage from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A new feature, Escalon’s Got Talent, is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, with the amateur talent show designed to showcase local singers, dancers, musicians, poets and more.

At 5 p.m., music returns with fan favorite Remedy taking the stage until 6:30 p.m., bringing their unique blend of pop, rock, funk and country music to Park Fete attendees. For over 25 years, Remedy has been rockin’ the Central Valley with their sound and are constantly in demand for performances.

Rounding out the weekend entertainment will be Gotcha Covered, the headlining band for Saturday night, scheduled from 7 pm. to 11 p.m.

Winner of the 2012 MAMA Award for Best Blue Collar Band and a 2015 KCRA A-list Winner for Best Local Band, Gotcha Covered features a vast repertoire, playing the top hits of every genre from the 1970s to present day.
