Escalon 4-H brings home multiple AgFest 2024 honors

A total of 55 exhibitors representing Escalon 4-H participated at the San Joaquin AgFest 2024. The members exhibited breeding boar goats, breeding sheep, breeding beef, market beef, breeding rabbits, swine, dogs, poultry, market sheep, market goats, dairy cattle and horticulture. One of the local 4-H members placed first in Dog handler showmanship and went on to participate in the Small Animal Master Showmanship and placed third overall in the county. Following are the 4-H club results from AgFest; names and information are listed as provided by the club.

 

Breeding Boar Goats

Peyton Stagno 1st in class, 3rd in showmanship

Aiden Yates 2nd place in class, 2nd place in novice showmanship

Addison Correia 2nd place in class, 3rd place in class and 2nd in intermediate showmanship

 

Breeding Sheep

Mikayla Buck 1st place in class, grand champion registered ewe, 1st place in intermediate showmanship, 2nd place ewe lamb and 3rd place ewe lamb

 

Breeding Beef

Colton Anderson 1st in class, reserve champion grade female and 5th in class with other heifer and 6th in showmanship

Mason Fiser 4th in class and 7th in showmanship
