Entries Being Sought For Holiday Parade
esc city

Escalon’s annual Holiday Light Parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 4 in the downtown area. Rain date is Dec. 5.

Entries are currently being sought for the parade, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Line up begins at the corner of Third and Coley at 4:45 p.m. and the parade will step off at 5:30 p.m., on Coley, turning on to First Street and then on to Main.

All entries must be decorated with lights and judges will give out awards to the top three entries. Participants are asked not to include a Santa on their float, as the city’s Chamber of Commerce always brings in Santa to greet kids at the end of the parade.

Candy may be thrown from floats, but must be thrown far enough into the crowd so kids don’t encroach on the roadway.
