Eski Fest Plans In Full Swing

It’s almost time for the Eski Fest Ag Fair, which is on the schedule for Saturday, May 10 at Escalon High School.

Offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the day will feature a variety of activities and is designed as a fundraising day for the Escalon FFA Chapter.

“We would love for your farm, business or club to join us,” said coordinator Lorina Cajias.

Among the events planned are a vendor fair, which will feature home, garden and spa products for sale along with a farmer’s market that will include locally grown products and handcrafted goods.

Cajias said the timing of the fest is good, in that it comes just before Mother’s Day, so attendees can find a special gift for their mom among the items offered.

There will also be displays by the local FFA Chapter, ranging from leadership to animals, farming to business and craft skills, along with information provided on the various charity events the group members are involved with during the year.

Hours for the Eski Fest Ag Fair are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all events at the school, 1528 Yosemite Ave.

Kids’ activities are planned and there will be a trolley that will take youngsters from the campus to the nearby school farm for tours. A barbecue will be offered, Bovine Bingo will give attendees the chance to win for the ‘plop drop’ and there will also be drawings throughout the day.

Those that want to get involved as a vendor can contact Cajias at 209-402-7567 or via email at lorinasediblegarden@gmail.com.

Updates regarding the Eski Fest are also posted on Facebook, the Lorina’s Edible Garden page.

“This event directly supports the student’s activities in the Escalon FFA Chapter,” Cajias added.
