Donations Being Sought For Sober Grad Nite ‘23
SG23

Now less than a month away, donations are being sought to help put on the Escalon Unified School District’s Sober Grad Nite event, which is set for Friday, June 2.

Activities will be hosted at the Escalon High Performing Arts Center and the party is for the Class of ’23 EUSD graduating seniors only. It is being put on by the Escalon Educational Foundation and will run from 9:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, June 2 into Saturday, June 3. Students will not be allowed to leave before 3 a.m. unless picked up by a parent.

Tickets are $40 in advance for students, $50 at the door.

Featured are casino tables, paint nite, a photo booth, laser tag, cornhole, henna tattoos, music, games, plenty of food, a hypnotist show and prizes for all attendees. The goal is to make sure everyone goes home with at least some cash, and donations of all types are being sought now to help achieve that goal.

Monetary donations can be made payable to EHS Sober Grad and donations of $10 gift cards are needed for places such as Jamba Juice, Dutch Bros., Chick Fil-A, In-n-Out and more.

Gift cards can be dropped off at the Escalon High School office or to Jackie Wentzell at the EUSD Bus Garage at 1176 Stanislaus Street.

Tickets for students will go on sale the final two weeks of the school year.

Krysten Lial is helping coordinate the night again this year, working with a dedicated group of volunteers, and she said they are looking forward to putting on a memorable Sober Grad Nite for the Class of 2023.

“We are keeping it outside and in the cafeteria,” she noted. “We love that every student goes home with at least $10 in cash and a $10 gift card at the end of the night.”
