Community Medical Centers to receive federal funds
CMC

A total of $4,087,760 in federal funding is headed to Community Medical Centers (CMC) in Stockton. The funding will support CMC’s operations so they can continue providing affordable, high-quality medical care to families. CMC is a network of non-profit health centers providing medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services. Representative Josh Harder (CA-9), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, made the announcement regarding the funds on May 13, noting that more than 100,000 patients get care at CMC neighborhood health centers in San Joaquin, Solano, and Yolo counties.

“Our families should be able to get the health care they need without waiting months for an appointment or driving hours to see a doctor. Community Medical Centers in Stockton provide vital medical care to our community, including our kids,” said Rep. Harder. “This new funding means we can continue to expand health care access throughout San Joaquin County and make sure our families can get the care they need right here in our community.”

Last year, Harder helped secure $500,000 for CMC to build a regional Adolescent Health Center in Stockton.

“Community Medical Centers appreciates this ongoing funding, which helps us and health centers across the country care for more than 30 million patients a year. Together we make a positive impact—and not just for our patients,” said Christine Noguera, CEO of Community Medical Centers. “Our communities benefit in so many ways because of the vital services we provide.”
