The Escalon Chamber of Commerce has re-started a monthly recognition program for local businesses. The March featured Business of the Month in the spotlight is Heck of a Deal.
Established in 2005, sixteen years ago, Heck of a Deal started as a small shop by Main Street Market, selling household goods. In 2010, Proprietor Will Hecht moved the store to a larger downtown Escalon site and expanded the inventory to home furnishings. For the next 10 years, Heck of a Deal continued to enlarge its selection including antiques, vintage items, collectables, and housewares. In 2020 Heck of a Deal moved and expanded again to 2135 Jackson Avenue (the old Rite Aid pharmacy) continuing to offer shoppers a wide selection of items including: Anchor Hocking, Hall, Coca-Cola, Weller, Fostoria, Hot Wheels, campaign memorabilia, Military, hull, Franhoma, Jeanette, bottles, glassware, pottery, toys and more.
Chamber officials encourage you to stop by and shop local and learn a thing or two about antiques and their history.
