Escalon’s American Legion and the Farmington Fire Department are both putting on breakfasts during the month of May. Not only that, they are on the same weekend, with one breakfast served up Saturday, May 20 and the second on Sunday, May 21.
Coming up on Saturday, May 20 it’s the Escalon American Legion and Legion Riders Chapter – Post 263 Armed Forces Day breakfast.
The meal runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., served at the American Legion Hall, 1531 Second St., Escalon. Tickets are $10, though there is no charge for active duty personnel; just show your ID card.
The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, linguica, fruit cup, milk, juice and coffee. The breakfast will take the place of the Legion’s regular third Saturday of the month dinner.
On Sunday, May 21, join the Farmington Fire Department members at the firehouse, corner of Escalon-Bellota and Highway 4, for their annual all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Tickets are $5 and there will be pancakes, eggs, grilled ham slices and beverages. Hours for the breakfast are 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.; all proceeds will benefit the Farmington Fire Department volunteer equipment and scholarship funds.
