Shoppers Support Valley Children’s Hospital Drive
Shopping

Save Mart Supermarkets collected $15,000 from shoppers through its annual fundraising campaign in support of Valley Children’s Hospital. Every year this money goes to fund vital research and lifesaving treatment initiatives for the children in our communities.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity our shoppers have shown us,” said Hal Levitt, Vice President of Save Mart Store Operations. “We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with Valley Children’s Hospital to help ensure our kids in the Central Valley continue to have access to vital care.”

In July, Save Mart shoppers had the opportunity to donate $2, $3, and $5 through coupons available at checkout stands. Forty-four Save Mart stores throughout San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Tulare, Fresno, Kings and Tuolumne counties participated in this year’s fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards benefiting Valley Children’s Hospital services.

Valley Children’s Healthcare is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of children and have provided the highest level of care to 1.3 million children since their doors opened back in 1952. With the vision to improve access to all children in the Central Valley, Valley Children’s Hospital has extended their pediatric specialty care services throughout the region. Children receive the specialized pediatric care they need closer to home through Valley Children’s Hospital, specialty care centers, satellite NICUs and partner locations.

“Save Mart Supermarkets has been a tremendous corporate partner supporting many organizations, and Valley Children’s has been fortunate to benefit from their philanthropy for over three decades,” said Robert Saroyan, the President of Valley Children’s Healthcare Foundation. “The generosity of Save Mart Supermarkets and their customers helps provide much needed resources to help ill and injured kids across the Central Valley.”

The Save Mart Companies is a committed partner to the communities its stores serve, donating about $4.5 million annually to local and non-profit organizations.
