Screening And Tasting Event Scheduled At State Theatre
Brew

Coming up on Thursday, Jan. 31 at the State Theatre in Modesto, make plans to enjoy an evening focused on beer with a screening of The Brewmaster, featuring tasting and refreshments from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the film at 7 p.m.

There will be a ‘Q&A’ session following the screening of the film. The State is at 1307 J St., Modesto.

Many local breweries will be on hand for the screening with samples as well as Modesto’s Buckhorn BBQ with heavy appetizers. Come to the downtown venue and enjoy brews, appetizers, a film, and the Q&A with the director as well as Master Cicerone Nicole Erny as well as a skype call with the director of the film. This is a can’t miss for beer lovers or anyone that wants to start making their own.

Director Douglas Tirola’s Brewmaster artfully captures the craftsmanship, passion and innovation within the beer industry. The story follows a young ambitious New York lawyer who dreams of becoming a brewmaster and a Milwaukee based professional beer educator as he attempts to become a Master Cicerone. Helping tell the story of beer are some of the best known personalities in the industry including Garret Oliver, Jim Koch, Vaclav Berka, Ray Daniels, Charles Papazian and Randy Mosher. Brewmaster creates a cinematic portrait of beer, those who love it, those who make it and those who are hustling to make their mark.
