Classic WAR fans, mark your calendars for July 10 and feel the magic in modern times.

The Stanislaus County Fair is getting ready for an incredible experience with WAR making a presence Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Stanislaus County Fair. WAR will appear on the Coors Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by 104.1 The Hawk and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“This original American Funk band fuses elements of jazz, rock, blues and reggae. We are ecstatic to have WAR at Fair,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Their music is loved by fans of all ages and that shows the latest example of WAR’s influence being felt nowadays.”

Multi-platinum selling WAR, the original street band, has been sharing its timeless music and message of brotherhood and harmony for over four decades before millions across the globe. The long list of great hits includes: “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “The World Is A Ghetto,” “The Cisco Kid,” and many more. The phenomenal group has been honored twice by its hometown of Los Angeles for making positive contributions to the betterment of the community with its powerful music. WAR has also been honored by President Obama as “All Day Music” was placed on his official playlist of Summer 2016. More recently, LA Weekly declared WAR in the top 10 concerts of 2018. The 2020 Fair will feature 10-nights of free celebrity concerts included with Fair admission, a total of three stages of live entertainment, upwards of 30,000 local exhibits and over 1,750 animals. Metal-mashing motorsports in the FoodMaxx Arena will also be featured and Portuguese bull fighting.
