La Grange Odd Fellows Bring Back Summer Meals

The La Grange Odd Fellows monthly breakfasts will resume in July. Always the second Sunday, the date for the upcoming breakfast is July 12, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The popular menu is the same, ham and cheese omelet, sausage, biscuits and gravy and all you can eat pancakes, with complimentary coffee and orange juice.

The price is $8 for ages 13 and up, kids 6 to 12 are $3, those 5 and under eat for free. Take-out orders are $8.50. The breakfast is served at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange, sponsored by Lafayette Lodge #65, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Also, make plans now to attend the 13th Annual Catfish Dinner on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or until the food runs out. A favorite mid-summer tradition, the dinner features deep fried catfish fillets, corn on the cob, coleslaw, cornbread with iced tea, lemonade or coffee. The price is $15. To-go orders add $.50.

Organizers said they will adhere to social distancing and safe food handling guidelines for the breakfasts and the Catfish Dinner, served in the down-home atmosphere of the IOOF Hall, 30018 Yosemite Blvd., in La Grange.
