Sign-ups are being taken for an upcoming basketball program.

Escalon Elite is hosting a basketball skills clinic on Oct. 16 at Escalon High School, for boys and girls.

Third through fifth grade players will meet from 10 a.m. to noon; sixth through eighth grade players will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The clinic will focus on footwork, lay-ups, shooting, ball handling and more, in a fun, supportive environment.

Cost is $25 for those registering before Oct. 16; cost is $30 if registered on Oct. 16. There is an additional $10 cost for a T-shirt. Open to Escalon Unified School District residents only, with a maximum of 30 players per session.
