With preseason just getting started, the Escalon varsity softball team took the field for two scrimmages this past week, They hosted Amador on Tuesday, Feb. 20. “We didn’t keep score but I think we won,” head coach Art Brooks said of seeing plenty of runs cross the plate in the contest. Calaveras then came to town on Friday for a very chilly contest, fans in the stands bundled up against a biting wind.
