Three different teams are playing baseball this summer as part of the Cougar program, with an A team (varsity) a B team (JV) and a C team (incoming freshmen) all getting on the diamond for a number of contests.
Action started for the A team with a Monday, June 6 game at home hosting Enochs and a doubleheader hosting East Union at Escalon on Tuesday, June 7.
After a break for the Wing T Camp from June 12 through 14, the team will play at the Enochs Tournament June 14 through 16, then also take part in the Lee Hampson Tournament at Enochs from Monday through Thursday, June 20 through 24 and then wrap up the campaign with a tournament at Beyer, June 27 through 30.
The B team is in the Modesto High Tournament this week, through Thursday, June 9. They will be in the Downey Tournament June 14 through 17, then are home to host the Bob Loureiro Tournament in Escalon from Monday, June 20 through Thursday, June 23. They close out their season in the Hilmar tourney, June 27 through 30.
Incoming freshmen with the C team hosted scrimmages on Monday, June 6 with Oakdale, Pitman and Downey and will meet those same teams again in Oakdale on Friday, June 10; at Ptiman on Friday, June 17 and at Downey on Friday, June 24.
