Mixed doubles play on Friday for the Cougars on the tennis courts saw Annabel Shafter, returning the serve, and Jack Fitzgerald, in back, teaming up to take on their Mountain House opponents. The visiting Mustangs defeated the host Cougars in the Trans-Valley League contest. Escalon was scheduled to host Riverbank in the regular season finale on Tuesday, April 24 after The Times went to press. The TVL Tournament is set for Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28.
